My 2006 Reading List

For the past few years, most everything I’ve read has been technical. This past year I decided to feed the other part of my scholastic upbringing by reading business oriented books as well. Though I still maintained a healthy technical intake, that reading was reserved to documentation and online materials. For those with any curiousity, below is the list of some of the books I read during 2006 in no particular order.

1. Automatic Millionaire

2. Smart Couples Finish Rich

3. Rich Dad, Poor Dad

4. The Road Ahead

5. iCon Steve Jobs

6. Losing My Virginity

7. Business the Richard Branson Way

8. The Long Tail

9. Joel on Software

10. The Google Story

11. Don’t Make Me Think

12. Growing a Business

13. The Elements of User Experience

14. Getting Real

Rich Dad, Poor Dad is a quick read; better to check out of the library than to buy it. I can tell you having read it, not all of it is of great value but there is some value to reading it.

  2. Kenny Bunch Says:

All of the books except Getting Real were from the library. Each had some bit of value that it brought to the table, some more than others.

Are you still reading in 2007, or did you give it up? It doesn’t sound like you have time, but I suggest:

    - Consider Phlebas
    - Creative Visualization
    - Pattern Recognition
    - The Power of Intention
    - The Sparrow

    Losing My Virginity????? Hahahaha!

Whatever happened to some fiction thrown in there for good measure?

Like, when was the last time you read Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison? Or any Haruki Murakami?
